SUSTAINABLE FASHION ASSISTANT DESIGNER
FULL TIME
We are looking for an extremely hands on, multitasking individual to join our sustainable fashion business. This is a full time role for someone who is passionate about sustainability, creativity and innovation in fashion. This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast paced, ever changing environment. While the position is varied, the majority of your time will be spent within our warehouse operations managing inventory, curating stock, processing new arrivals and ensuring all items are prepared and presented to the highest standard. Alongside this, there will be dedicated days each week focused on the creative and design aspects of the business, including product development, styling, and content creation for our brand. Some days may lean more heavily towards creative projects, while most will require a stronger focus on warehouse work and organisation. Flexibility, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential, as every day brings something new in this dynamic and purpose driven role.
Responsibilities and Duties
Design & Studio Work
- Assist in the design and development of sustainable collections.
- Work with remade and upcycled clothing, bringing creativity and craftsmanship to unique pieces.
- Support branding, sampling, and production processes.
Vintage Curation & Warehouse Support
- Grade and sort premium vintage pieces on the warehouse floor.
- Curate selections for our national network of stores, including Selfridges.
- Social Media & Content Creation
- Develop engaging social media content in line with brand identity.
- Grow our online presence through creative campaigns and storytelling.
- Contribute to fresh ideas to strengthen brand awareness and community engagement.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a fashion studio (assistant designer, production or similar role).
- Strong knowledge of remaking and upcycling clothing.
- Understanding of branding and production processes.
- Hands-on approach and ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
- Previous experience (or strong interest) in vintage clothing.
- Confident with social media content creation and growth strategies.

SALES ASSISTANT
PART TIME
The Sales Assistant’s main focus is ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. Based within our concession at Selfridges, this role requires maintaining the highest standards of presentation, service and professionalism in line with the expectations of a luxury retail environment. The Sales Assistant will ensure the concession remains impeccably presented at all times, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering an elevated shopping experience. They will assist in the sales process and follow daily operations to maintain a visually inspiring space. A detailed knowledge of the vintage clothing we offer is essential, and this will be used to engage customers and grow sales through personalised, thoughtful service. The Sales Assistant will also help implement and uphold all company policies and procedures, ensuring sales targets are achieved and performance consistently exceeds expectations. Above all, they must embody and uphold the COW culture, representing our brand values with authenticity and enthusiasm, while demonstrating a clear understanding and appreciation of vintage clothing.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Working on the till/serving customer.
- Following stock prep procedures including steaming and tagging items.
- Maintaining concession floor standards.
- Feeding back customer stock requests to the Management team.
- Being flexible to cover shifts and work extra hours as necessary.
- Greeting customers.
- Following loss prevention procedures.
- Ensuring that the concession floor is clean, safe and presentable for customers.

NOTTINGHAM
STORE MANAGER
FULL TIME
We are on the lookout for a talented new Store Manager to run our COW Vintage store in Nottingham! The Store Manager's main focus is determining the long term success of the store. They will assume overall responsibility for the success of the store by driving dally operations, managing staff and increasing sales whilst minimising costs. They will oversee the operational and organisational standards of the store as well as implementing the marketing, merchandising and stock control procedures to ensure targets can be achieved and driven beyond expectation.
The Manager will be responsible for the overall culture of the store and must ensure that the staff also represent and embrace the store's culture and goals. They will have a meticulous understanding of the store in order to problem solve and drive weekly figures. The Store Manager will also follow direction from the directors to run the shop’s daily opening and closing schedule, ensuring the floor is covered in the most dynamic and effective way possible. They should follow guidance to maintain the shop's cleanliness, and covering attendances, lateness, holidays through Bright HR, whilst adhering to the company law programmes set out by Peninsula HR and actioning disputes and disciplinary procedures through direct consultations is standard protocol with this role.
The Store Manager will also track sales, figures and ensure weekly targets are met for store growth. Adapting to various situations, they ensure the safety of the staff, assets and handle all the store’s banking. They also direct customer service, resolve complaints and manage loss prevention. Often, a manager will meet with vendors, the corporate office or senior management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coaching skills to train and mentor staff on company standards, effective sales techniques and product knowledge to attain performance-based results and team development.
- Programme design skills to motivate employees to increase sales
- Extensive computer skills in POS, ERP and Netsuite, Epos Now, Lightspeed Retail or an equivalent for shop management, inventory and staff management.
- Product display creation skills and cleanliness to maintain presentable shop image.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with people and companies, problem solve and relay staff duties and instructions.
- Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills to make quick decisions, deal with staff or vendor problems to help resolve any conflict.
- Customer service skills to help generate marketing programs to increase footfall, sales and retain a customer base.
- Faultless skills in maths and analytic knowledge with the ability to generate financial records and properly manage cash and budgets.
The ideal candidate for this role will be/have:
- Similar experience in a managerial role. (Within a fashion/lifestyle brand would be preferable).
- In-depth understanding of the market to maintain competitor awareness
- Highly organised with impeccable time management.
- An enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated leader.
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising and eye for detail, both of which will come as a second nature to you.
- Experience coaching, developing and mentoring a retail team.
- Ability to react quickly to changing situations and delivering at pace.
- Back of house administration such as rotas, cashing up and banking.
- Social Media/marketing experience.
- Excellent IT and numerical skills with a strong understanding of spreadsheets.
- Proficient with verbal communication.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
