SUSTAINABLE FASHION ASSISTANT DESIGNER

We are looking for an extremely hands-on, multi-tasking individual to join our sustainable fashion business. This is a full-time role for someone who is passionate about sustainability, creativity and innovation in fashion. This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Some weeks will be design-heavy, others focused on warehouse curation or content creation. Flexibility, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

Design & Studio Work

  • Assist in the design and development of sustainable collections.
  • Work with remade and upcycled clothing, bringing creativity and craftsmanship to unique pieces.
  • Support branding, sampling, and production processes.

Vintage Curation & Warehouse Support

  • Grade and sort premium vintage pieces on the warehouse floor.
  • Curate selections for our national network of stores, including Selfridges.
  • Social Media & Content Creation
  • Develop engaging social media content in line with brand identity.
  • Grow our online presence through creative campaigns and storytelling.
  • Contribute to fresh ideas to strengthen brand awareness and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in a fashion studio (assistant designer, production or similar role).
  • Strong knowledge of remaking and upcycling clothing.
  • Understanding of branding and production processes.
  • Hands-on approach and ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Previous experience (or strong interest) in vintage clothing.
  • Confident with social media content creation and growth strategies.

LONDON SELFRIDGES
CONCESSION MANAGER

 


The Concession Manager’s main focus is determining the long term success of the concession within the Selfridges store. They will assume overall responsibility for the success of the concession by driving daily operations, managing staff and increasing sales whilst minimising costs. They will oversee the operational and organisational standards of the store as well as implementing the marketing, merchandising and stock control procedures to ensure targets can be achieved and driven beyond expectation. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring that COW Culture is brought and upheld with the Selfridges stores. They must ensure that the staff also represent and embrace the store’s culture and goals. They will have a meticulous understanding of the store in order to problem solve and drive figures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  •  Recruit and hire staff that meet the brand’s expectations
  • Evaluate the staff’s performance and provide regular feedback, motivation and encouragement to help staff achieve goals
  • Train new employees and provide continuing education and training to current employees
  • Assign duties and delegate to the whole team
  • Have a thorough understanding of the stock and what is/isn’t selling as desired through sales, competitor and trend analysis
  • Provide ongoing communications with the Area Manager and Operations Director including scheduling store visits with the Area Manager as and when needed
  • Track and implement financial targets
  • Ensure that all polices and procedures are being followed throughout the store to the highest possible standard
  • Implement stock rotation procedures and monitor product levels
  • Ensure that the concession is organised and merchandised to the highest standard, (including mannequin styling) appropriately at all times.
  • Manage the in-store seamstress team and ensure that rework production is completed in the most cost effective and sales focused manner
  • Interact with the public via social media and maintain the store’s online presence
  • Organise in store events and manage other marketing opportunities
  • Follow Health and Safety regulations
  • Responsible for ensuring that all customer service initiatives are in place and dealing with customer issues quickly and courteously
  • Overall running of daily operations including key holding and cash handling responsibilities.
